Jojo Rabbit wins An Oscar

If you’ve watched any TakiaWaititi movies then you’ll know this New Zealand actor and director has not only a good eye for shooting but he also knows just how and when the be comedic. Well, he just earned an Oscar for the film Jojo Rabbit in which he plays everyone’s favourite mad man Adolf Hitler; Waititi also wrote this satirical film as well. He also made history by becoming the first Maori individual to win an Oscar and in the process is also the first indigenous person to win an Oscar too. The category for which he won is Best Adapted Screenplay which is a pretty major accomplishment considering how many truly amazing candidates there were this year.

Jojo Rabbit might just be Waititi’s second most recognizable piece of cinema because most people will have been introduced to his work from the 2017 Marvel Cinematic Universe’s Thor: Ragnarok. Speaking of Thor, Waititi is slated to direct the next Thor film, titled Thor: Love and Thunder, which he’ll not only direct but also write and appear in. For those that didn’t know Waititi played the highly comedic character Korg in the third Thor movie. If you would like to read up more on his recent Oscar win you can do so here.

    1. Would you say it’s a movie to buy on DVD/Digital/Blu-Ray or do you feel like it’s going to be a movie that you should rent if at all possible and not bother owning?
